CHANNILLO
Reboarding
By Ray Sorensen

Series Description:

Since the spring of 2020, travelers around the world have been grounded.

For more than a year, as we grappled with the Covid-19 pandemic, borders have been closed, flights have been cancelled, and cruise ships have sat empty in their docks.

For the traveler, each day of lockdowns and restrictions has meant destinations unexplored, new friends unmet, and adventures unlived.

Now, as vaccines against Covid-19 become available, this series will explore the ways in which we return to travelling.

Each week, we will visit a new destination, examine how the pandemic impacted life there, and learn how travelling has changed. Join us as we reboard for a journey around the post-Covid world.

Author Bio For Ray Sorensen:

I am a freelance writer and traveler. Over the course of my working life, I have contributed my writing talent to many different endeavors including speechwriter, disaster relief worker, teacher, blogger, and most recently, as editor of an upcoming book about the changing landscape of retail.

My greatest passion is travel. I am fascinated by the mental, emotional, and even physical processes we experience as we learn about and adapt to new surroundings. I have been fortunate to travel around the world and share my experiences with my readers.

At the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, I was traveling in India. I took a repatriation flight back to my home in Colorado where I have been patiently waiting for safe travel to resume.
