Welcome To Channillo! This page explains our Terms of Use. When you use Channillo, you're agreeing to all the rules on this page. If you have any questions, please contact us at contact@channillo.com.
By using this website (the "Site") and services (together with the Site, the "Services") offered by Channillo, Inc., you are agreeing to these legally binding rules (the "Terms"). You are also agreeing to our Privacy Policy and agreeing to follow any additional rules on the Site. If you object to anything in these Terms of Use you are not permitted to use the Services.
We may change these terms from time to time. If we do, we will attempt to notify you of any material changes, either on the Site or by sending you an email. New versions of the terms will never apply retroactively, and we will specify the exact date they go into effect. If you keep using Channillo after a change, that means you accept the new terms
1. Creating an Account
You can browse a few Channillo pages without creating an account. To use most of Channillo's functions, however, you will need to sign up for an account by entering a name, a valid email address, and setting a password. All the information you give us must be accurate and complete. You may not impersonate anyone else or choose names that are offensive or violate anyone's rights. If you do not follow these rules, we may suspend or terminate your account.
You are responsible for all of the activity on your account, and for keeping your password confidential. If you find out that someone has used your account without your permission, you should report it to contact@channillo.com.
Channillo is intended for people who are at least 13 years old. Persons under the age of 13 are prohibited from creating Channillo accounts.
By creating a Channillo account, you affirm that you are either at least 18 years of age, or an emancipated minor, or possess legal parental or guardian consent, and are fully able and competent to agree to all Terms of Use. Certain features or functionality, may be limited to users at least 18 years old. If necessary, we may ask you for proof of age.
We may, in our sole discretion, refuse to offer the Services to any person or entity. We may, without notice and in our sole discretion, terminate your right to use the Services, or any portion thereof, as well as block or prevent your future access to and use of the Services.
2. A List of Things You Are Prohibited From Doing on the Site
No breaking the law. Any action that violates the law, or breaches any contract or legal duty you have, is strictly prohibitive.
No lying. Do not post false, misleading, or inaccurate information, and do not do anything deceptive or fraudulent.
No bullying or victimizing. Do not do anything threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or invasive of another person’s privacy.
No spam. Do not distribute any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material.
No harming anyone's computer. Do not distribute software viruses or programs designed to interfere with the proper function of any software, hardware, or equipment on the Site (whether it belongs to Channillo or another party).
No interfering with the proper working of the Services. Do not bypass any measures we've put in place to secure the Services. Do not try to damage or get unauthorized access to any system, data, password, or other information, whether it belongs to Channillo or another party. Do not take any action that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, or on our third-party providers (we reserve the right to determine what is reasonable.) Don not use any kind of software or device (whether it is manual or automated) to "crawl" or "spider" any part of the Site. Do not take apart or reverse engineer any aspect of Channillo in an effort to access things like source code, underlying ideas, or algorithms.
3. Channillo Memberships
Billing and Payment Policy:
Channillo partners with other companies (such as Stripe and Paypal) for payment processing. When you buy a Channillo membership, you are also agreeing to the payment processor"s terms of service and privacy policy.
Your credit card is charged immediately when you first purchase a membership, and then monthly thereafter.
You may cancel or change your membership at any time for any reason.
Channillo does not offer refunds. If you are unhappy with your membership for any reason, please contact mail:support@channillo.
4. Subscribing to a Channillo Series
The number of different series you are allowed to be subscribed to at one time is determined by your membership level. You may unsubscribe from a series at any time for any reason. If you unsubscribe from a series, you must wait 90 days before you are allowed to resubscribe to that series.
Once you subscribe to a series, you will remain subscribed to that series until you unsubscribe, cancel or downgrade your Channillo membership, or if the series is removed from Channillo.
5. Creating a Channillo Series
All potential writers must apply for a series and have their series application approved before they are able to publish work. The series applications that we do and do not approve is completely our decision. Also, Channillo reserves the right to remove a writer and/or cancel and remove a series for any reason.
Writers are fully accountable and responsible for everything they publish.
All work published on Channillo must:
Any content published that is in violation of any of these rules may be removed from Channillo, and the series may be suspended or canceled.
Content Ownership & Use:
Writers retain ownership of any work published on Channillo. A writer may cancel a series and remove their work from Channillo at any time. Writers agree to let Channillo use portions, or all, of content released on Channillo as we find appropriate. Examples of use may include marketing materials, promo pages, site demonstrations, etc.
Writer Payment Distributions: Channillo will distribute 80% of total subscription revenue (after payment processing fees) to the writers. Channillo will be responsible for all of the operating costs of the site including development, hosting, maintenance, customer service, etc.
Writer payment distributions will be calculated each calendar month, using the previous calendar month's revenue and subscription data. The amount of money each individual writer earns is based on the number of Channillo members that subscribe (or stay subscribed) to their specific series each calendar month. This number includes members that were subscribed to a series at one point during the month, but unsubscribed before the month ended.
There is a minimum payment threshold of $50.00. If earnings for a series are less than $50, the amount earned gets added to the next month's earnings until the threshold is passed, in which case a payment will be made.
Writers are responsible for all payment processing fees charged by Paypal.
Channillo partners with other companies (such as Stripe and Paypal) for payment processing. When writers agree to receive a payment, they are also agreeing to the payment processor's terms of service and privacy policy.
Pay may be withheld in certain cases, if a writer is not meeting the requirements mentioned in the Terms of Use.
Submitting tax information:
Because Channillo, Inc. is a United States based company, we are required by the Internal Revenue Service to collect tax information
from all writers who receive payments from Channillo.
Writers are responsible for paying the appropriate taxes on their earnings, if applicable.
Channillo collects personal information from all writers in order to submit the appropriate documentation/forms to the IRS as necessary.
If you choose to receive payments from Channillo you agree to:
Writers not interested in earning may elect to have the money donated directly to a charity of their choice. The charity must be able to accept payments from our chosen payment providers. Charity donations are also subject to the minimum payment threshold of $50.00
6. Channillo Is Not Responsible For Damages or Losses
Channillo is not responsible for any damages or losses related to your use of the Services. We do not become involved in disputes between users, and we do not endorse any work that writers publish on the Site. When you use the Services, you release Channillo from claims, damages, and demands of every kind-known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed. All content you access through the Services is at your own risk.
7. Links To Other Websites
Channillo may contain links to other websites. When you access third-party websites, you do so at your own risk. We do not endorse those sites and are not responsible for any damages that might occur as a result of using them.
8. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises during your use of the Services, you agree to abide by the following dispute resolution process, only proceeding to the next step, if the previous step failed to resolve the issue.
1. Read our FAQ file posted at http://channillo/faq to see if your question has already been answered.
2. Send an email to the Channillo Support Team at support@channillo.com describing the dispute in detail.
3. Send Channillo, Inc. a letter by registered mail, outlining the dispute in detail, steps taken and any unresolved issues to: 3853 E. 126th St, Carmel, IN 46033.
For any dispute related to a payment, you must notify Channillo in writing within (30) days of the payment. By failing to notify Channillo within this timeframe, you waive any and all claims related to the payment.
9. Copyrights
If you believe that your content or other work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact us via email at support@channillo.com. We take copyright infringement very seriously.
10. Changes To The Services
Channillo reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to review, improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue, any content or aspect of the Services at any time, effective with or without prior notice and without any liability to Channillo. Channillo may also impose limits on certain features or restrict your access to parts or all of the Services without notice or liability.
11. Changes to these Terms of Use and the Services
Channillo reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to change, modify, add, or delete any of the above terms and conditions (as well as the Privacy Policy) at any time, effective with or without prior notice and without any liability to Channillo. If any future changes to the Terms of Use are unacceptable to you, you must stop using the Services immediately. Your continued use of the Services following any revision to the Terms of Use constitutes your complete and irrevocable acceptance of any and all such changes.
12. Special Promotions
Channillo may occasionally provide certain promotional opportunities, sweepstakes, and contests. All such promotions can be activated, modified, or removed at any time without advanced notification at the sole discretion of Channillo.
13. Intellectual Property
The services and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Channillo and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and/or other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
