A few words about author Charles Hampton Gragg from his own personal perspective.
Born in the Midwest and reared by a family with simple but solid beliefs and although faced with tragedy of immense proportion I have found my way to a peaceful existence. My ability to write and speak my mind has inspired me to continue to look at life and all of its flaws in a manner that provides comfort to my soul as I advance in age and encounter all of its barriers and pitfalls. Many of my poetry books adorn the vast space of the Internet known only to those few that seek them out. All publications of Poetry and Prose for the Common Man and Poetry Prose and Such are filled not with writings that follow the standards dictated by those that follow the work of the masters or traditional poetic rules set down through the ages but instead attempt to speak directly in understandable language to all who would read them.
In recent years my collaboration and friendship with poet and writer John O’Hara (A.K.A. John Wordslinger) has added fuel to the fire that burns inside me. His intensity and commitment to the art of writing is an inspiration to all who have had the pleasure of making his acquaintance and working with him on poetic endeavors.
As I embark upon my eighty second year I reside peacefully on acreage with my beautiful wife Cheryl in the foothills of the Sierras in Northern California and write and publish as my inspiration dictates. I spend time on occasion examining the wonderment of the world we live in with all of its thorns as well as the beauty of its spectacular adornment. I continue to seek peace. An elusive partner in this life but one worthy of pursuit. Life is not a Sunday afternoon carriage ride in the country. It requires effort and above all it requires that we participate in some manner to the full extent of our capabilities. Peace.
