Ellefolk (Denmark, Sweden and Norway)

Relatives of the trolls, but unlike them, the Ellefolk wander freely during the day. They travel through air, fire, wood, water, and stone. The females are about four feet tall and are very beautiful. They belong to the group of fairies that have hollow backs. This characteristic is not always understood by researchers, who tend to think about it as meant to frighten. This is not so; the hollow back indicates that part of the entity is located in another dimension, most likely in a multidimensional universe. The males are somewhat shorter and wear broad-rimmed hats. The Ellefolk live in the moors, beside rivers, marshes, and under hills. Their homes can change locations at will and have lovely gardens.
