Chelle Hughes has been freelance writing since 2009.  In that time she has written over 5000 articles for various online sites.  She is passionate about her Appalachian roots and the traditions and foods that go along with that.  She loves her home, The Creekside Cottage, that she shares with her husband, Harold who she lovingly refers to as Gus, and their cat Pippi.  They have a grown son, Russ and daughter-in-law, Kayla.

When she's not writing, Chelle loves to travel around their home state of Kentucky and pick up antiques and vintage items for the shop, Old. Odd and Otherwise, that she shares with Gus.  She also is passionate about reading, journaling, cooking, eating, photography and their mountain life in general.
