this would be his soliloquy-

fashion late, walked two blocks to find a charm

missed the alarm, late for his own funeral.

bet he'd dress to the nines though,

lost a point for attendance

shot his shot and buried the most-

it was too close,

he'd remember the sevens but everything

lower was swept to the back

but they remember, the fine wine 

fine times willed to be a fine dime.

He'll miss those lines-

he'd walk them the best

and sniff the rest.

He'd mention he would hear

the knocking, knew it was a fear

but only he heard them

and he walked alone.
