smiled as I watched them play games such as hopscotch, red rover, and red light/green light. I could barely remember a distant thought of wanting my own children, but I guess it just wasn’t in the cards for me. I gazed at the school building.  It was made of wood from top to bottom with flower boxes on the two front windows. A small wooden porch led up to the front door.
