Hannah looks at the pile of laundry overflowing in the wash room and the uneven stack of dirty dishes in the full sink. Henry, her three year old son, runs around the house, screaming and carrying his toy fire truck, like it is a prized football.

Sophie, her one year old, lies asleep in her crib. Hannah keeps an eye on the baby monitor to make sure she sleeps soundly.

“The dishes and laundry can wait.” She stretches out on the couch. Clothes are spread out and she pushes them aside to make room for her expanding body. It’s hard to get comfortable in an eight month pregnant body.

“Just a few minutes.” She says out loud to no one.

Hudson would be home later and enjoys having dinner ready. Several minutes pass but it feels like much longer.
