Dangerous Cars

 

More threatening than a poor repair record is a car that is downright dangerous to drive.  The chapter on Porsche finds that it is the most dangerous car in the world.  The design of the Porsche is much like that of the Chevrolet Corvair that was skewered in Ralph Nader’s Unsafe at Any Speed.  Both of these death traps place the engine behind the rear wheels making the car exceptionally difficult to maneuver.
