I slowly walked towards the cafeteria. Break was already half way through. I wasn’t in the mood toddy to be around people. Today everything stung a hundred times more. Especially after that presentation. I couldn’t get his words out of my head.

I looked up just in time for me to pass Charlie’s table. He sat alone. I badly wanted to sit down. But I knew I would be unwelcome.

But as I walked passed I felt a hand pull my arm.

I turned and looked.

Charlie.

He didn’t say anything. We stood there for a moment. Somehow with him time always stood still.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“Showing your worth.”

He pulled me in, in one quick move and I felt his lips rest on mine.
