“Hi, Nairi.”

This time she didn’t evade my eyes.

“Hi,” she said softly.

“Are you ready?” I asked.

She nodded.

“Cool.”

She looked at me expectantly.

“Aren’t we going to your bike?”

“Oh! Sorry,” I said. “I actually thought we could go to your place today. If it’s okay?”

I noticed the shocked look on her face.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

“Oh, if you’re not comfortable with that, it’s fine.”

She looked around us and I followed her gaze. I noticed people were staring at us. When I turned back to her she was looking down nervously.
