Even though these jobs have been deemed as the lowest of the low, our daily lives could not function without them. Not that this is any solace to the Lost.

After twenty years, an aptitude test is offered to those with low scores but the offer comes with a high price. Pass, an apprenticeship for learning a knowledgeable skill could be earned. It is possible they could work the land or learn to build machinery, earn a few more credits and make a decent life for themselves.

However, that very rarely happens.
