our military had grown by leaps and bounds. Even though funding and enthusiasm for military advancement was low on the priority list, vehicles and weapons were developed with as much fervor and care as any other project. Fast moving tanks and weaponized aircraft were on standby. Reserve armies, air force and navy could be ready to go at a moment’s notice if necessary. If someone dared to come looking for a fight, we would most certainly afford them one.

We were the gods of our domain, able to create and destroy life as was saw fit. All of the dilemmas and insecurities of a nation had been solved. Nothing had been forgotten.

Nothing. Except morality.

This is the world where I now find myself and I couldn’t be more lost.
