The red sunset poured through the dark pines, turning the new white dishes rosy red. Contentedly, Donna sighed as she finished her second slice of warm cherry pie and curled into a small ball in the faded cushions of the old wicker chair.

“The new microwave did a good job on this cherry pie,” said Aunt Yolanda. “You would never guess it was frozen.”

“And the little town is so adorable,” said Donna. “The housewares store looks like a doll’s house. By the way, did you notice I didn’t break anything?”

“Must be the Wicca locket,” said Aunt Yolanda innocently, sipping her coffee. “Pure magic.”
