Bradley had been hiding in her room all day with Cassie for comfort.  She showered again and threw on khaki shorts and a bright orange spaghetti strap tank top from Banana Republic and then slipped on a pair of yellow canvas TOMS on her way out the door.  The black leather seats were still hot at eight thirty at night and stuck to her skin as she jumped into her car, a 2009 White BMW 330ci, which previously belonged to her mother.  The tires squealed on the tar driveway and she turned into the road without checking for traffic.
