Mallory

After Kate left, Mallory chewed at her nails.  What if Grant found out about Adam?.  Should she tell him?  Better he hear it from her than someone else – especially if that someone else were Adam.  Mallory tasted blood when she realized Adam just might do that if he found out Mallory and Grant were together.  Maybe he would be jealous.  She ran down to her room and grabbed the telephone.

“Miss me already?”  Grant said when he picked up on the second ring.

“Maybe,” said Mallory, feeling suddenly very nervous.  “Are you working today?”
