Caleb checked his watch impatiently, peering down the hall to see if I had emerged yet. “Fletch, we’re gonna be late if you don’t hurry your butt up!” He adjusted the backpack on his shoulder, shrugged it off and checked the zippers for the third time that morning. Still secure. He called again down the dim narrow hallway. “Fletch! You’re the worst brother ever if you let me miss the bus.”

    I stumbled out of my room, tugging on my left shoe and catching my body heavily on the wall after almost falling. Caleb huffed at me and I grinned sheepishly. “Sorry, bud, I overslept. Had a hard match at the gym last night.”

    “Just come on, we gotta go,” he whined. He looked close to stomping his foot.
