I remember as a kid when my grandmother would come visit, my mom turned into the devil’s tornado for about 2-3 hours the night before, trying to get the house in order.  I thought “what’s the big deal? It’s just Grandma.” But now I know. I fully understand the storm of emotions a busy mother goes through before houseguests arrive. We are no longer mothers. We become raging beasts in sweatpants and rubber gloves with only one thing on our minds: absolute order.
