I remember when my mom told me being a grown up isn't so great. I was nine and like most kids of that age, I didn't want my parents telling me what to do.  I knew if given the chance, I'd survive on peanut butter right out of the jar and 3 hours of sleep each night.  Money would magically appear in my pockets and I'd go to the skating rink anytime I wanted.  Life would be a piece of cake.

Nine year olds are clearly stupid.  My mother was right on the mark, and I bet your mother was too.  Here's a few things I would like to tell nine year old Stacey:

I still don't want anyone telling me what to do.  That hasn't changed.  However, my bosses now range from ages 4-9, and they clearly have no problem giving me direction.  It's October...
