December 11th

I finally got some time to finish shopping for Christmas gifts this morning. I bought nearly everything in our craft shop using the staff discount and supporting my fellow crafter at the same time.

One gift, a special one for Hannah, required a little in-person organising elsewhere. Afterwards I visited the library.

This time I wasn’t seeking business books, or even this month’s book club novel.

The school was closed for a teacher-training day. You’d think they’d hold such courses during the summer break as they get nearly three months off, but no. All staff training is done during term time and means the students get random days off, typically with short notice.
