The stupid head lice are back, again.

I’ve lost track of how many times I have cleared our family of lice in the last 18 months. My enthusiasm for the electronic comb isn’t enough to keep me sane and every time I think of the creatures rampaging in Hannah, short, hair I get an uncontrollable urge to scratch my own scalp until it bleeds.

This time she’s the only victim, thank goodness, as the heavy chemical treatments leave my hair in tatters and I couldn’t bear to look like a scarecrow with various Christmas events looming. Even the co-op gang have decided to have a potluck gathering in the shop after we close on the last weekend before Christmas. There’s no space in the shop for it, but...
