October 31st

Today is Halloween and it was definitely a case of trick rather than treat at my house this evening. I can’t decide if I’m furious or frantic, possibly both.

We love Halloween in our house. None of us are young enough to visit local houses in costumes begging for treats anymore but I still decorate the house, with help from Hannah, and Jamie adores handing out the chocolate bars to the young children who call at our door. He’s a softie when it comes to small children.

“Hello Scary Vampire. If I give you some chocolate will you promise not to bite my neck?”

“Oh wow, that’s a brilliant costume. What are you being this year?”
