October 4th

Today is my wedding anniversary. I always think anniversaries are daft. It’s very exciting the first year or two. Cal would bring home flowers, make me dinner, or we’d go away for the night, but once our family came along we ordered a takeaway pizza and shared a bottle of wine instead.

Last year Cal had been in Cork for work and our water tank flooded the attic on our anniversary. Yes, that was a romantic one.

This year I’m still limping with my broken toe and Cal is away again. I wonder does he ask to be on duty every year to avoid our wedding anniversary?
