Except for a few skirmishes with peer pressure (that somehow didn’t manage to ruin my life), the conflict of my life’s story pales in comparison with the life stories of many others. Does that mean my story shouldn’t have been written? I certainly hope that’s not the case because the process of writing this portion of my story wasn’t an easy one.

Writing some of the stories originally as blog posts on my site at www.familystorylegacy.com gave me some early momentum and encouragement, but compiling the stories and writing them one by one has been like writing 53 separate short stories (plus an introduction and this conclusion).
