The carefree days of our childhood could be symbolized by many icons. A dusty old field where I developed a passion for the game of baseball. A quilted pallet in the yard under the oak trees with a book in every Ainsworth kid’s hands. The brown Bookmobile in the parking lot of the Baptist church on Wednesday afternoons. Pop and Granny’s front porch.  The back walkway that we kids would leap as we raced in opposite directions around Tomp and Mama Tomp’s house. The fellowship hall during family night suppers at church. I have so many reminders of an idyllic childhood, all of which trigger warm memories of days gone by. One little patch of mud, though, t">
