When Curtis saw Seth for the first time out in public, he almost died. At first he saw Mr. and Mrs. Cohen rush in. They didn’t even look at the three boys in the waiting area and Curtis was grateful. He wasn’t sure if he could even look them in the face after all that had gone down.

But then he saw Seth holding down the button that keeps the elevator doors from shutting and doing his ritual. Curtis’s heart surged with love and pity in equal amounts. Why do I love that boy? When Seth finally finished and headed toward them, the Cohen’s had already been whisked into the ER to see Rory. Seth looked like he’d been crying.
