"Can I talk to you for a minute?" I say, and using a thumb, motion towards the door.

Despite her offensive act, Kat gets up and follows me through the doors to the third floor stairwell. We take a seat on the bench there and I start filling her in on the murder investigation saga.

"That's sick," she says.

"I know," I say casually. "So, I heard about the hacking incident."

"So," Kat replies, testily.

"Well, I'm hoping you can help me with something I'm working on, something connected to the murder."

I fill Kat in on the LibrarianDetective.com project, Hannah's murder, and my investigation.

"We have her phone, and my friend Larissa has someone looking into hacking it."
