Genny was blissfully unaware of Xander’s slaughter of another woman the previous night when she woke up to stare into warm brown eyes that were lovingly adoring her.  Hank would be taking the children to their parents’ house for an overnight adventure later in the evening.  She and Jarrod were going to have the place all to themselves.

Hank had gone upstairs to help Alivia with her suitcase after he arrived.  Genny heard him call out her name, and his tone caused her to hastily exited the kitchen where she was trying to consume a glass of the milk.  She never liked the taste.
