Jamie arrived home from school to hear new voices from the living room. She stepped the rest of the way in and turned to see her dad sitting with an elderly Japanese couple. Though she hadn't seen them in person in many years, she'd seen enough pictures to mostly recognize them as her grandparents.

Grandma Hattori got out of her chair and hurried over to the door. "Jamie! Look at you all grown up!"
