competitive with other nations. Currently, each car made in the USA includes $1,500 for health care. If Medicare were expanded to cover everyone, U.S. manufacturers would no longer be at a competitive disadvantage.

Congress should raise the minimum wage.

Pass the Arbitration Fairness Act, introduced by Rep. Hank Johnson and Sen. Al Franken. This bill would prevent civil rights, consumer, employment, and antitrust claims from being forced into arbitration.

Amend the Food, Drug and Cosmetic act to allow con-sumers to sue drug manufacturers for harmful side-effects of prescription and non-prescription drugs, and to toughen up inspection of drugs imported into the United States.
