Beyond our world there are realms that fall in accord with the cosmic forces of Good and Evil, such as Heaven and Hell, or Order and Chaos, with the plains of Limbo counterbalanced by the clockwork perfection of Absolu. Each of these outer planes has their indigenous entities, also, and the Monitors are the inhabitants of the Plane of Law. Their entire existence is devoted to maintaining the orderly functioning of existence itself.

The Monitors are beings of pure, rational thought and, as such, take on geometric bodily forms with humanoid flourishes such as arms and legs.
