here lies a tainted soul -

with broken butterfly wings

and a heart made of glass.

trapped in perfection

and unable to escape.

thoughts bombard her

as she struggles to breathe.

her last attempt at freedom

destroyed, as the cold moves in

to cease her beauty -

already in flight and dead upon arrival.
