"The wielder of the Blue Death, who massacred many of our cousins!" Sam the Pixie stuck all his fingers into his mouth and started gnawing them with anxiety.

"Are you kidding? You're eating your hand." But Garrett didn't know what else to do. The pixies wheeled about in a cartoon exaggeration of panic and Sam, their king, or prince, or whatever, was losing it to the point of madness. What was Reiser to these people? Their version of Godzilla?

"What did you do to them?" he asked Reiser.

"I don't know. I've never even met a pixie before."
