It is the one true capital crime we

all share in

the ribbon, the seam that marks

the cycles' next revolution.

the means of a newer, easier, though

perhaps

not better way of life

And as life gets easier and newer,

so too, do the means of

destruction

Better and better items of advancement

require better and harder acquired resources,

it is cobalt today, but has been

phosphorus before, among others,

A maddening plague, sure to set upon us as

we use these tools, to uncertain ends

we build them, consume materiel to uncertain ends

And common life, morphs and adapts

just as uncertainly

no one wants to be good at any...
