“A witness?!” Nathaniel muttered. “Who?”

“Captain Darkmoor,” Antioch called towards the stage. “Is this correct?”

Nathaniel looked at the stage in horror.

“It is,” Darkmoor replied, his words resonating around the silent Square.

Nathaniel’s mouth fell open.

“This can’t be happening,” he said to himself, before standing up tall and shouting out to those around him. “Are we going to stand for this?! How is this a trial? How is this justice?”

People here and there glanced at him...
