Chapter 6

   With Dennis at the wheel, the Nomad pulled up at an unimposing warehouse building on Calhoun and parked around in the back lot. Dennis, Lonny and Duane, with Alice in tow, bailed out of the car. Dennis pulled his Les Paul out of the back seat while Duane wrestled his Bass from the rear. Lonny, who had already had his snare in his hand, led the way into Raybeam Records. 

   “Come on in, boys--and lady,” a young, dark-haired gentleman in black-framed glasses, white shirt and a red tie said, as he ushered them into the studio. “I'm Elroy, your engineer.
