Freddie never says anything for no reason.

‘It’s just another day at the office, son’.

‘So why are you going to be home late?’

‘There will be a – a – a - special operation this evening that needs my attention’.

‘Have you told your commanding officer about this, DCI May?’

‘Er, no sir’.
