‘Last! With eleven points! Why, O why did I watch it?’

She opened the tin on the coffee table and took out a bar of Old Jamaica Chocolate. She read the label.

The WPC laughed. It had been a long and eventful day and, despite the United Kingdom coming last in the Eurovision Song Contest, she was happy. George, as they all called her at the station, and much to her annoyance, was pleased that she was playing a small part in bringing the case of the Holme Hill Murders nearer to a satisfactory conclusion.
