James F. Miller II is a poet to the fullest extent of the word. His life is a tragedy, yet marked with small successes. It’s that irony, that twist of pain with a side of a mischievous grin that gives him the ability to write. His extensive reading list has given him the understanding, his education has given him his knowledge, and his journey has provided the content that has filled the pages of so many notebooks. Jim had published five chapbooks and won the attention of many critics and readers alike from near and far before he disappeared in 2022. His hiatus was a consequence of his morals and his life choices. Jim has lived the life of a dreamer, a gypsy, and a poet, and all those roads lead to excess. He certainly has never been a stranger to that. To know him is to understand how addictive just his personality and presence can be, to have partaken on any given day of his journey, it is understandable how unavoidable addiction was for anyone on that path.
