dance like this, and the men were always far apart from their womenfolk, even if they were married.  This would be so sinful in her parents’ eyes, which made it all the more exciting, so exciting she thought she just may faint right on the spot.  She wished, for a moment, that the song was over, so she could go back to her drink and cool her body off.  Emotions, feelings, body tinglings were happening that she had never felt before.

     When the music did stop, Mig backed a step back and moved his face in front of hers.  His lips got close to hers and she turned away quickly.  He misplanted the kiss on her ear.

     “Oh, I’m so sorry, Cecily.  I didn’t mean to make you feel  uneasy.”
