Dale started up the van, but looked to Pastor Willis for confirmation as to where to go next.

“Are you sure you’re up to seeing them now? We could always reschedule for another day,” Pastor Willis said to Arrin.

Arrin had been apprehensive about facing Tom, but it was nothing compared to the dread he was experiencing at the thought of confronting Tracine’s and Peter’s love for each other up close and personal. However, if he wasn’t to lose his courage altogether, he wanted—no, he needed to do it today.

“I’m up to it.”

Ten minutes later Dale parked in front of Tracine’s and Peter’s house. Arrin took a deep breath, steeling himself for the ordeal facing him, but smiled at Pastor Willis and Dale to show he was doing okay...
