Susan Schroeder writes inspirational Christian fiction set in the early 18th century and science fiction set in the distant future. She hopes to encourage readers with her stories of loss, sin, and redemption. She's a native of Colorado Springs, where both sides of her family have lived since the city's creation, is happily married and is the mother of two now grown sons. The eldest son is severely physically and mentally challenged and requires much of her time, but she still ekes out time to write each day. She enjoys taking walks around her community, eating chocolate and natural peanut butter, and reading on her deck on sunny, warm days.
