Arrin heard voices in the corridor outside the cell room, and one of them was Tracine’s. He arose in eager anticipation. A moment later Tracine, Pastor Willis, and Peter walked in. Peter had his arm wrapped around Tracine’s small shoulders, which filled Arrin's heart with jealousy. Now he knew the reason for Peter’s guilt and why Tracine hadn’t come to greet him! He hopped to within millimeters of the force field even though it made his skin prickle all over to be so close, and braced his right hand on the wall for support.
