“Okay. Tell us the truth now. Are you high?” Tom asked.

Arrin shifted position.

“Go ahead, tell us. I dare you,” Tom said.

“Fine! I’m high. I was able to buy some real PMZ this time, not the weak oral PMZ I bought in Lasoen that does little but make me sleep.” He pushed up his right sleeve and showed off the fresh needle mark with pride.

Peter briefly put his hand across his eyes as if not seeing the needle mark would make it go away before he sighed and lowered his hand. “Why would you do such a thing to yourself, and one drug on top of another too? Don’t you know it could be dangerous? You could easily overdose.”
