Peter resumed his seat. “I suppose you’re right.”

When midnight approached without Arrin’s return, Tom remained outwardly confident, although secretly he wondered if he’d made yet another mistake in not going after Arrin when he’d stormed out. He finally decided to go looking for Arrin. He made an excuse so Peter wouldn’t guess he doubted himself. “I’m hungry and you must be too. I think I’ll go out and bring back a pizza. What would you like on it?”

Peter waved his hand. “Oh whatever you like will be fine with me.”
