Tom was sleeping soundly when around mid-morning his phone rang, startling him awake. He fumbled for the phone thinking it might be Arrin calling, and wanting to answer before Arrin changed his mind and hung up before remembering Arrin was with him. He glanced into the bedroom to make sure it hadn’t been a dream, and yes, Arrin was there, still sleeping.

Wondering who else could be calling him, Tom answered, “Thomas Dunn.”

“Hey Tom, it’s Peter. I’m in Hasden.”

Tom bolted upright, wide awake now. “What in the universe are you doing in Hasden?”

“I’m taking a vacation,” Peter joked. “Seriously, though, I thought I could spend several weeks helping you in your search for Arrin.”
