They played poker for the rest of the afternoon with Arrin winning every hand. Ron finally tossed his cards on the table and came to his feet. “I don’t believe in such luck. You’ve won every hand!”

“It’s not luck. It’s skill. All card games are easy for me.” Which was exactly why they were so boring.

“Skill at cheating!” Ron spat.

Arrin sprang to his feet ignoring the dizziness the sudden movement caused. “I’m no cheater!”

Clayton ended the argument with, “Arrin, why don’t you make yourself comfortable on the couch as Ron and I prepare dinner?”
