To be certain he hadn’t been discovered Arrin walked around to the other side of her desk and took a peek at the computer screen. Instead of displaying a report that he was a fugitive, as he’d been afraid might have been the true cause of Jenni’s surprise, the screen only showed his account with a high ten-figure balance. The amount surprised him as much as it had surprised Jenni. He hadn’t realized his account had grown so large. His investments must be doing well.

Relieved, he returned to his seat.

A short time later Jenni returned, accompanied by a gray-haired, stout woman, with dull brown eyes. A bundle of key cards, both personal and business, hung from a belt around her ample waist. Arrin took note of the key cards for possible future usefulness.
