As soon as they were situated, Seamus and Jay began teasing Tom over Elizabeth. Their good-natured ribbing and their easy camaraderie infuriated Arrin. How could they so easily forgive this man who’d not only killed dozens of helpless innocents, but had happily abused him in unmentionable ways. Whereas, he’d only killed two people, in self-defense and they sent him to Barumi where he was beaten half to death—four times!

Finally, he’d had enough. He sprang to his feet.

“Were you three picked because you’re naturally inconsiderate?”
