Arrin wasn’t surprised to hear Dillon had ratted him out in exchange for his own freedom. Self-preservation was paramount among criminals, after all.

The Chairman continued. “Your dealer informed us the courier has never returned. Explain this.”

Arrin was unsure if the question confirmed they didn’t know about Collin, or if they were trying to catch him in a lie. He resorted to evasion, just in case. “How should I know anything about the man’s whereabouts?”

“You can’t tell us what happened to him?” the Chairman asked.
